This week on the podcast listen to an excerpt from a conversation I had with Shabana Knight exploring what it means to dream bigger.
When you think of living an abundant life, how do you feel? What do you notice?
Is it possible that abundance is waiting for you, just beyond your “want list”?
Here are 3 key takeaways:
You’re more supported than you think. These moments remind us we don’t walk our paths alone, especially as we step into new seasons of life.
Healing and dreaming go hand-in-hand. The episode is a testament to moving past limitations, embracing abundance, and allowing ourselves to forgive, love, and dream bigger—sometimes beyond what we even know to want.
Community unlocks possibility. When we connect and encourage each other, we expand what’s possible for ourselves and those around us.
If you are interested in decluttering, organizing, or just a dose of positivity, you can find Shabana Knight on her podcast, Organized Chaos- Stories with Shabana

Let's connect.
I am cheering for you!
Hey friends, this week on the podcast, I'm sharing one of the conversations I had on January 11th. I had my first tea and tidbits of 2026, and some of my friends came and we had a conversation. I've cut the conversation down to just parts where Shabana and I are sharing since she and I were the host of the event. But if you'd like to join one of these conversations, you can head over to my school S-K-O-O-L. It'll be linked here in my Buzz Sprout and also on my website, kelly dits.com. It's a free community, a way for you to connect with other people who are doing this important work. I hope you enjoy the conversation. Welcome to the Live A Vibrant Life podcast. I'm life coach Kelly Kibbitz, and each week I'll be here to encourage and equip you with the tools you need to grow in self-awareness and invest your best energy in your dreams and your purpose. I believe self-awareness changes everything. Let's get started. Hey friends. The reason we're here today is Shabana and I connected a while ago and she said to me, when you see those numbers like one, one it means you're supported. And I thought, wouldn't it be fun to come together today and remind each other that we're supported? Today's goal was to talk about dreaming a bigger dream. And so Shabana was so sweet. She said, Hey, I'll help co-host this with you. This is for. Us to be together As we're stepping into this next month, this next year, this next season of your life, what would it look like to dream using the one 11, the little wink from the universe of the 1 1 1. Let's take a breath and talk about dreaming a bigger dream. Our time together today is to say maybe the dreams in our soul were put there for a reason. It's okay to take the time that we need to create those results. And what would it look like if we were deciding today together collectively to be a group of people who use our gifts in these small little actionable ways and make the world a better place? Shabana, if you want to take a moment, tell people a little bit about you, and then if anybody else feels like, Hey, I'd like to tell you who I am and what I do, I would love to hold space for that today. I was gonna jump in and say is that typically when people see me on social media, they see this person who is from the Pacific Northwest. She's married, she has three kids. She's very bubbly and fun. She likes taking walks, outdoors. And as all of that is true, um, that's just like the surface level fun stuff about me. But the part that people don't see, the underneath part that I don't share all the time is that, um. Some people do know this about me, but the parts that I don't share all the time is that I was, um, left at a train station in 1986 and I was separated from my parents. I was an orphan. I then eventually got adopted, grew up on the east coast, and then just all the things that I've overcome since then. And, there's like sexual trauma and stuff like that that I've overcome. And I'm just really, really proud of myself and I've come a really long way. Then being in Kathy Heller's world, I've met my best friend this year, Christine, who's on the pod, on this. And she's amazing. And all the amazing people that I've met, met, and the healing journey that I'm on. And I've launched a podcast in 2025. And that's just a little bit about me. I'm also a coach and a healer and I just, I love people. I also like being cozy and being indoors, and so I love that I can connect with people and be inside and be cozy. So yes, that's declutter. I appreciate you so much As you can hear my voice. It turns out I have like adult RSV, and so I got sick and I still wanted to do this. I was so conflicted. I'm like, I feel like I'm supposed to do this thing and I don't feel good at all. And yesterday, Shabana was so kind as she is and she did that on Tuesday in her little group as well. So it is an amazing story. She's on my podcast. I know you've been on several podcasts this year. I love Abundant Ever After. Not sure if you bought it or not. I've bought it for so many people for Christmas because I just think it's such a great book. I love Cathy's energy. In chapter three, she said The universe is a perfect orchestration of abundance. And so what keeps us limited are our thoughts. I did a few years in the life coach school and learned that my thoughts always create my feelings, and I didn't know that. I'm an Enneagram too. I live my life from my heart, and I thought my feelings were created by other people, and I spent a lot of time and energy trying to get other people to change so that I could feel better instead of realizing everything in my life changed. When I knew what I was thinking and I chose the power thought on repeat. And so a powerful thought is the only limit is the one we keep rehearsing in our minds. And those limits were given to us as children. They were given to us from so many different places. And so having rooms like this where we can connect with each other and remind each other, oh my gosh, how amazing that. Maybe you want to share some words through a podcast, through a community, through writing a book, through having somebody over your house. I know Christine did something really fun yesterday that inspired me to think about maybe I could go to my local library and do something in person. My hope today is like you just get that little spark and say, Hey, I want to connect with you. You want to be on my podcast with me? Do you want to come talk to me just and have a cup of tea and let's see if we can remember these dreams and how important they are. I'm always trying to learn things and you know. I was talking to somebody the other day and she said one of her limiting beliefs is her parents always said, don't get too big for your britches. And I'm like, wow. I think I heard that a lot too. Don't get too big, don't make it too much. And I love an abundant ever after. Cathy says, my capacity for abundance is way bigger than what's even on my want list. Last January, I was able to go to North Carolina and get up every morning and watch the sunrise'cause we were right on the ocean and the dolphins swam by first thing in the morning. Abundance, I could never, ever have imagined. Does anybody else have a moment like that where they're like, you know this, I can't even, it was more than I could ask or think, this moment of abundant and I don't want to forget that it happens. Shabana, what are you smiling, remembering? Well, um, this past February, 2025, um, I did end up going to India and it had been like 36 years. Since being adopted and we got to go back to the orphanage and it was one of those moments where it was towards the end of the trip. So we did like a 10 day tour, and then at the end we got to go see the orphanage. And so, you know, it's, it's a different language, it's different culture, it's everything. And we went to what we thought was the location. But I get out of the car, I get outta the car and I'm like, I don't think this is right. So I go up and like there's an armed guard and I go in anyway, I was like, this isn't right. You guys stay with like the Uber driver. Um, so we don't lose him. And then I'm like, this isn't right. So I walk back to the car, I was like, again, like, this isn't right, but our phones are not working. All of a sudden there's a guy on a motorcycle. And he could tell that we were trying to talk to our driver and he wasn't understanding. Our phones weren't working, and thankfully this random motorcycle dude, um, spoke English. He like translates and says like, oh, you're looking for the social working place, blah, blah, blah. We're like, yeah, we're looking for the orphanage. And he tells our driver where it is and like he's like, go down this street and do this and do this. And then he also like puts it in his, in the guy's phone and like, we're there in like eight minutes. And it was like, seriously, like such a miracle. Then we get to the orphanage, it's the right place. And I was like so thankful. And then we tore the orphanage for like. Um, it was like three hours and then we're like, oh gosh, how are we gonna like get the taxi back to the hotel? The taxi driver stayed in his car for like the whole time and we walk out and he's there. I was like, oh my gosh. He stayed for us and then he drove us back to the hotel. But it was like just blessing after blessing. But it was just one of those moments of like, I don't want to forget that. Right. I don't want to forget that. That was part of today do you want to remember something? You went out and did that brave thing, like write it down somewhere, put it in your phone notes that you can look back again. Our capacity for abundance is way bigger than what's even on our want list. We won't even know to want it. What does it look like to play in that possibility? It's an actual way for us to drop in. And dream about future us. What would it be like for you to open your door and it's 10 years from now? I am getting all emotional even thinking about it, but the people that you you shared that meditation and it brought'em back to peace and that overwhelming anxiety left them. That was what it felt like yesterday when I was feeling so sick and yet called to do this and Shaban is like, Hey, I'm here. We don't know each other in real life, but it felt like this deep being held feeling to have her say that to me. If you've had those moments lately, let's remember that. That's what we get to go and do and be for other people too. With your meditation, with your poetry, with your book, with whatever it is that you're sharing. See if you notice a word. Peace. Strong, flourishing. I know what's so interesting for me when we have done this work together. We always think it's out there, and then as soon as we just take this moment to drop in, we realize it's already here. It's already inside of us. Shabana, I'd love to start with you if you noticed anything. 20 years ago, I was in a setting and it was an auditorium and it was this exact thing. And I felt what dropped in was I was sitting in an auditorium and I was by myself, and it was all these empty chairs and all I could sense and feel from like God and Spirit was like, one day all these seats are gonna be filled and it's gonna be all these people that you impacted. And I just started weeping. And it's the same idea that. One day people are going to spiritually come to your door and it's all the people that you have impacted. And it was just so humbling and so alive, and so just heartful, heartfelt, like, holy crap, like we have no idea the lives we're gonna change. The people we're gonna meet. Then the people around her did the best they could to support her in this dream, because what she needed didn't exist yet. And yet the vision was there and it was, you know, and so your vision was there. I mean, I know the first time I heard you on a podcast, I was like, I want to be her friend. And I called you that day. I'm like, can we be on a podcast together? The fact that we are all here together on one 11 and the thing that connects us is Kathy, and that's so cool. But except for Kelly, I haven't met any of you in real life, and yet I feel with many of you a deeper connection than some of the people I've known for a long time because we're doing this same path together. I, I, I will say one other thing is that back in December. Um, I was like, Christine, we gotta do an event on 1212. And we did. And it was during that time I was saying that, um, for, uh, 2026, I want to do more like. Events like this, jump on Zooms, co-host with people and stuff like that. Because I want to talk more, I want to teach more, but I don't really want to like set up the zoom and make it all happen. I just want to like, here I'm, let's talk kind of thing. And um, so yesterday I was like, oh, awesome, another opportunity. And so it's like, all right, let's see what happens this year. And eventually I want to be speaking on stage, sharing my story. So it's just like following the whispers, following the breadcrumbs. Um, and this is such an amazing community to be a part of and doing those things. So, yeah, I think you have a fantastic story. Well, thank you. And I'm so glad you're here and I have loved getting to know you. So as this, we're talking about, uh, the one 11 portal today, last night I was laying in bed and I was like, what, what am I gonna share? Kind of thing. And I got this really cool vision. So typically I don't think about my. Birth mom, which kind of sounds weird. I have an amazing adoptive mom and like, she's always like, been my mom kind of thing.'cause I got separated from my birth mom at the age of two. Um, and then we were, me and my brother were in the orphanage for two years and then we were, we grew up in the same family, but, um. So I got, I was laying in bed and it's like 11 o'clock at night. I'm like, what am I gonna share tomorrow? But I got this vision of like this actual portal, and this is really woo woo, but I know you guys can handle this. But I got got this vision of like this actual portal opening up and like my hand, like going through it. And on the other side, like I felt like I, like, I like literally saw like my birth mom in a field working and like obviously it's night, it's nighttime here, so over there in India it's daytime and she was like in a field working and it's daytime and it's bright and it's green and it's colorful. And we like are like touch hands and like it was just like energy and energetic and stuff like that. And it was just so powerful and electric. And then just like that connection and that feeling and it was, it was amazing. And then it's like, it was just like kind of like got out of the trance or whatever, but I don't know. I don't know why I felt like that, but I just wanted to share that with you. To me it's letting go of all the limitations and stuff like that. But like for her, I feel like she just, she kind of still has those limitations of like, how did I let this happen? Just all these things and where I have like forgiven and released and made, like allowed myself to just like live my life and allow love to heal and where I feel like. I hope that she's moved on and she's not living in like regret. Um. But I could, I don't know. There's just a lot there, but I don't know. So learn to love and forget. Yes. And be open to sharing in a place where you've just met some of these people is very, very sweet and yeah. Powerful as you are first. Shabana. That was beautiful you for putting that out there. Shabana, tell us a little bit about you, how people can find you, connect with you. Oh my goodness. My podcast is called Organized Chaos Stories with Shabana. I just started inep. September. It's a lot of fun. My background is in like childcare and then I was a personal trainer for 10 years and then I just switched over the past couple years. I do decluttering and organizing and I love to clean. I'm launching more into traveling and doing decluttering and organizing. Feel like there's, there's so many different facets to me, so listen to my podcast, find me on social media, all the things. In case you and I haven't connected, what I really love to talk about is self-awareness. I'm certified in the Enneagram and working genius. I'm not certified in human design, but I feel like it's the most aligned part of who I am right now. My favorite thing to do is spend an hour with somebody and use all the tools that I have to help you understand why you think, feel, and do life the way you do. I currently have an offer$25 to spend an hour with me. If you know somebody who's trying to figure out what they want to do and they don't even know why it's hard for them, and you want to send them to me, I would really appreciate it. I appreciate you guys being here. I wanted to launch Tea and tidbits because my platform is-TEA. Your thoughts create your feelings, which create the actions of your life.
